Budapest Food Tour: Local Tastings & Drinks

Tour Details: Budapest Food Tour: Local Tastings & Drinks
Description
Your Budapest food tour begins at the city's oldest church, right on the Danube, with views of Buda across the water. From there, you'll make your way into the Jewish Quarter, home to some of the city's best food and its liveliest ruin bars. You'll walk through four stops with a local guide who knows the city and its food well: a stand for lángos, Hungary's favorite fried street food, a family-run restaurant for goulash and other traditional Hungarian dishes, and a small shop inside a covered market for house-made spreads and crackers. Along the way, you'll pass through the neighborhood's ruin bars, see some street art in quieter courtyards, and hear a few stories about the area. Never more than 12 people in the group. Morning tours end with a chimney cake to eat on the go; afternoon tours end sitting down with a vegan version of a classic Hungarian dessert. 7-10 tastings, 2 drinks, 2 neighborhoods, and enough stories to change how you think about Hungarian food.
